Presenting a three-day conference, comprised of up to 20 hours of learning in Telemental Health, to provide the mental health clinicianwith a powerful learning experience for a key competency for the 21st century. Any day of this conference will also include 6 or more hours of Telemental Health training to meet the requirements under Composite Board Rule 135-11.

Learn the key complications related to the maintenance of confidentiality and privacy when operating in distance counseling formats.
Grasp the special complexities of informed consent, client verification and establishing best practice client agreements when operating in distance counseling formats.
Understand the key legal and ethical issues related to the provision of telemental health services.
Present best practices forms and templates for clinical paperwork to accompany distance counseling formats.
Day 1 of the conference will include interactive scenario analysis, interactive role playing, and the practice of techniques incorporating knowledge from the presentation of material

Comprehend the essential back-up resources and systems necessary to conduct ethical distance counseling services.
Learn best practices in crisis management when engaging in telemental health services.
Understand the key competencies of effective telemental health services.
Understand the key clinical and ethical issues related to effective termination when using telemental health services.
Comprehend how to select the telemental health model(s) that is best for you.
Day 2 of the conference will include interactive scenario analysis, interactive role playing, and the practice of techniques incorporating knowledge from the presentation of material
Conference Day Three (9:00 AM to 4:30 PM with breaks, 6 Contact Hours in Telemental Health Ethics)
Objectives for Day Three
Grasp the key legal, ethical and clinical knowledge base and skill sets that must be part of the active vocabulary of any clinician who wishes to engage in telemental health services.
Understand the ethical complexities within telemental health approaches to managing privacy and confidentiality, client safety, best practices / HIPAA compliant record keeping, and key resources, systems and structures needed for ethical practice
Understand how to apply ethical decision making models to telemental health practice.
Learn legal and ethical implications of electronic modes of communication and social media in the 21st Century clinical environment.
Day 3 of the conference will include interactive scenario analysis, interactive role playing, and the practice of techniques incorporating knowledge from the presentation of material

He has over 35 years of experience as a clinician, consultant, and coach, with over 25 years of experience developing and delivering best practices training programs for business and mental health audiences.
Louis Boynton, PhD, LPC, NCC. CPCS is the founder and President of Flourish2Live and the Western District Chairperson for the Licensed Professional Counseling Association. He has served as a teaching assistant at the University of West Georgia and conducts his own radio show on preventive psychological practice. He conducts his own private practice in Newnan, GA.

From 85 North or South: Take exit 403 off I-85, then go West on Bullsboro Drive (GA-34). From the north, this will be a right hand turn, from the south, this will be a left turn. Continue on towards Newnan, where Bullsboro Drive becomes Jefferson St. When you come towards Newnan Center, Jefferson St. will become a one way street in the wrong direction, so you will briefly go right on Clark St. before taking a quick left onto Jackson St. Follow this for about 6 blocks, then take a left on E. Broad St. and a quick left on Jefferson to look for parking. 2 1/2 East Court Square will be on your right.
Full refunds will be issued up to 14 days prior to the conference. Cancellations received less than two weeks from the start of the conference will be refunded at 80% of the conference costs up until the day before the conference. Cancellations received after the last day before the start of the conference will not be refunded, but 50% of the paid amount may be applied towards other live or online courses from yourceus.com.
