The 5-hour ethics program will provide important information to bring even experienced mental health clinicians up to date on important changes to laws, rules and statutes relevant for GA practitioners, as well as updates to forms and templates to support ethical compliance with these changes. Additionally, this course will address the main areas of ethical non-compliance that have led to the high number of ethical complaints to the GA Composite Board over the past several years: role and boundary violations, poor record keeping and bad practice. Finally, this program will provide guidelines for best ethical decision making processes to guide treatment decision making and establish a clear record of the ethical decision making process to increase protection from liability and practice complaint issues.
