Essential Neuroscience for the 21st Century Clinician

Part 3 - The Complex Neuroscience of Conscious Control

Presenting part three of a four part learning experience to provide the mental health clinician with a powerful learning experience for absorbing and applying the latest knowledge and skills from recent research and practice in affective neuroscience. Part three will address the complex neuroscience of conscious control and its interaction with our equally complex affective equipment to better understand our capacity for - and limitations on - achieving and maintaining better conscious control and decision making under a variety of circumstances and environmental conditions. This program will look at the important role of executive functioning and will include summaries of the work of some of the leading scientists in this field.

Leaders in the field of mental health acknowledge that we are now in the affective neuroscience era, and we all need to upgrade our knowledge base and skill sets in order to operate with current best practices.
