    Conducting Ethical TeleMental Health Counseling: 

    A Three-day Certificate Program for Building the Essential Knowledge and Skills

    Presenting a three-day conference, comprised of up to 14 core and 6 ethics hours of learning, to provide the mental health clinician with a powerful learning experience for developing the tools to provide TeleMental Health Counseling in a legal and ethical manner. This conference will cover the essential knowledge base and full set of skills to allow the professional to engage in distance counseling with confidence and competence. Upon completion of all 20 hours and a post-test to verify content mastery, clinicians will be eligible for a certificate of validation attesting to competence in Telemental Health.

    Any 1 day: $125.00 pre-registered $140.00 at the door

    Any two days: $225.00 pre-registered $250.00 at the door

    All three days: $345.00 pre-registered $375 at the door

    Approval will be provided by NASW GA for use by Social Workers and by LPCA for use by Professional Counselors

    Conference Day Three (9:15 AM to 4:30 PM with breaks, 6 Ethics Hours)

    Six hours of ethics covering the most important ethical concerns in providing distance counseling, including privacy and confidentiality, client safety, best practices / HIPAA compliant record keeping, and key resources, systems and structures needed for ethical practice

    Presentation of the key legal, ethical and clinical knowledge base that must be part of the active vocabulary of any clinician who wishes to engage in TeleMental Health practice, including state and federal laws concerning privacy, harm prevention, rights of minors, and best practices models of ethical decision making 

    Day 3 of the conference will include detailed scenario analysis, interactive role playing, and the practice of techniques incorporating knowledge from the presentation of material

    Charlie Safford, LCSW is the founder and President of yourceus.com, Inc., a knowledge company that works with professional organizations such as LPCA and NASW GA to provide continuing education curriculum to social workers, professional counselors and other mental health clinicians nationwide. He has over 30 years of experience as a clinician, consultant, and coach, with over 20 years of experience developing and delivering best practices training programs for business and mental health audiences. 

    Ken Scroggs, LPC, LCSW, LMFT, CEAP is the founder and owner of EAP Works, with over twenty-five years of clinical experience as a clinician, as well as extensive experience as a supervisor, coach, and Certified distance counselor. He is a past President of the Employee Assistance Professional Association, GA Chapter.

    From 400 North: Take 400 South to Exit 7, go right (west) on Holcomb Bridge Road (GA-92) towards Woodstock. Stay on GA-92 for approximately 5 miles. At Hardscrabble Road, there will be a shopping center with a SuperTarget. Just past this shopping center, you will take the next right on Mountain Park Road. You will follow this road past Mountain Park Elementary School, through a stop sign and into the City of Mountain Park. At the stop sign at the bottom of the hill once in Mountain Park, Mountain Park Road will veer right. At the very next stop sign, you will go right on Lakeshore Drive and take the first driveway on your left. The building to the left will house the Mountain Park Fire Department at the closest door, and the Civic Center at the second door. There will be signs directing you to the training.      

    From the South: Take 400 North to Exit 7B. The exit will take you west on Holcomb Bridge Road (GA-92) towards Woodstock. Stay on GA-92 for approximately 5 miles.     Refund Policy: 

    Full refunds will be issued up to 14 days prior to the conference. Cancellations received less than two weeks from the start of the conference will be refunded at 80% of the conference costs up until the day before the conference. Cancellations received after the last day before the start of the conference will not be refunded, but 50% of the paid amount may be applied towards other live or online courses from yourceus.com.
