This course is primarily designed for clinicians
in the earlier stages of their career, or for
more advanced clinicians reviewing basic concepts
in this area.

This course was written by Bernard Showers, LCSW.
He is a licensed clinical social worker working a
s an outpatient mental health and a substance abuse
clinician.

In September, 2016 Mr. Showers became one of
approximately 1,500 trainers from around the world
certified to offer training in Motivational Interviewing
by the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers.

Mr. Showers is also an adjunct professor with Shippensburg
University’s MSW Program in Shippensburg, PA
as well as the University of Maryland’s School
of Social Work in Baltimore, MD. Mr. Showers resides
in Lebanon, PA.

Approvals:
